Episode 32: The Day the Lioness Didn’t Stop

25-year-old safari guide Richard Field was living his dream—leading tourists through wild Africa in search of lions. But one step off the beaten path would change everything.

What began as a routine tracking mission turned into a nightmare. He came face-to-face with death in its rawest, most primal form. After stepping out of his vehicle to follow fresh paw prints, he was suddenly ambushed by a charging lioness defending her young. Episode 29: Struck on the Summit

Two men from New York are visiting Colorado, hiking up a 14,000 foot summit when they loose the trail. They call the rescue team to help guide them back to the trail. When they find the trail and reach the summit, the rescue team thinks all is well until screams are heard over the phone. Join us in the survival story of two hikers who get hit by lighting and the extraordinary efforts of the rescue team to race against the clock, fighting a storm, to rescue the hikers. Episode 25: Leopard’s Revenge

Wayne Williamson is working as a contract hunter in Mozambique Africa. He is hired by a hunting guide to hunt down an injured leopard that got away from them in their hunt. While Wayne and the other hunter are close on it’s tale, they aren’t the only ones hunting. Wayne bends down to pear through some brush when the Leopard gets the upper hand on Wayne, pouncing on him. Which hunter will get it’s kill? Along with going over Leopard conservation, all things about Leopards, and tips on how to survive a Leopard attack. 

Episode 24: Operation Oops

 After World War Two broke out and his homeland of Norway was overtaken by German soldiers, Jan Baalsrud trained to be a spy. He was assigned to secretly go into Norway with 11 other men, blow up an airfield tower along with as many water planes as they could, and recruit fighters. Their plan quickly fell apart as they were attacked by German Soldiers soon after arriving in Norway. In their escape, only one of the 12 soldiers evaded capture. Join us as we tell Jan Baalsrud’s survival story as he tries to evade capture by jumping into freezing waters and trekking through the frozen wilderness of Norway. 

Episode 23: Tusks, Tossed and Totally Screwed

On New Years Day, Mike, his girlfriend, and some friend were walking along a beach in Africa when an elephant takes notice. Mike, who has had numerous encounters with wild African Elephants, places himself between his group of friends as the elephant charges. Join us as we tell Michael Fay’s survival story after he is attacked by an African Elephant and holds onto it’s tusks to avoid getting stabbed. 

Episode 22: Two Girls, One Trail, No Return

One beautiful warm day in February, two best friends, Abby and Libby, didn’t have school and wanted to get out of the house to enjoy the unusual warm day in Indiana. They were dropped off at a trail head by Libby’s sister and set out to walk the historic trail leading to a bridge. Two hours later, Libby’s father waited in vain to pick up Abbey and Libby. Join us on the seven-year journey it took to find justice for Abby and Libby’s murders.

Episode 21: Flights, Faith, and Felonies

Deep in the Canadian forest lay a plane, upside down, with 10 passengers inside. Four of those 10 passengers survived the crash. Where people are normally found frozen to death before rescue arrives, these men must survive.  Among those four men include the pilot, a provincial housing minister, a cop, and a prisoner. Join us as we recap the arduous survival story of these four men after their plane crashed in the backcountry of the Canadian wilderness. 

Episode 20: A Leg Up On Survival

 Neil Parker, a seasoned outdoorsmen and trail guide, went on a solo hike up a waterfall he had done many times before. At the top of the waterfall, the rocks give out from under him. He fell 6 meters or a little over 19 feet down the waterfall, breaking his leg and wrist on the way down. Join us as we tell Neil’s survival story as he crawls out of the forest holding his broken leg in his hand. 

Episode 19: Snap Judgment: A Crocodile, a Man, and a Broken Escape

Mudit Dandwate was escaping the stresses of life by going to Bannerghatta Forest in a National Park in India. He was playing with his 2 dogs when one of the dogs ran for the lake near by. Mid swim, his dog suddenly started panicking. Mundit swam to help his dog. On his return trip with his dog in hand, a crocodile grabbed his arm and dragged him under water. Join us as we tell Mudit’s survival story as he fights a crocodile to survive.

Episode 16: A Broken Hike In Glacier NP

Ted Porder, a seasoned mountaineer and knowledgeable about the area, went to hike through Glacier National Park. He suddenly slipped down a glacier, loosing control as a crevasse appeared in front of him. With no control over his descent, he fell right into the crack in the ice, falling 40 feet. With the feeling they were being watched, they climbed into their tent and went to sleep. Only to be woken up as a truck runs over their tent and a man attacks them with an ax. This population of mountain lions at Whiting Ranch Wilderness Park are surrounded by towns and suburbs with no other place to expand without going towards the one thing they try to avoid, humans. With a growing population of mountain Lions at max capacity the area can hold, inside a land locked wilderness area, there are bound to be increase human and wildlife interactions. Whether the mountain lion was running from wildfires or the pressure to find food in such a condensed mountain lion area, we can't be sure.
